Brunel are currently recruiting for an experienced Category Specialist to join one our WA-based Clients immediately.
You will be working for one of the world's leading and largest producers of aluminum, with a number of currently operating minesites, refineries and a smelter.

The primary purpose of a Category Specialist is to support the successful development, implementation, execution, and compliance to the assigned high impact/critical and high value commodity portfolio/s (and categories), including the development and implementation of those global commodity/category strategies, contracts, processes, and policies.
Looking for someone that can directly influence and be decision makers.

  • Project management experience.
  • Strong Supplier management experience.
  • Strategically look at category of spend, negotiate contracts.



  • Bachelor Degree in Strategic Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Business, Engineering or relatedProfessional certification: CIPS, CPM, APICS, P.E. is beneficial
  • Skills and expertise in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, data mining, analytical and query tools.
  • A expert working knowledge of Procurement and business processes, out of box thinking and initiative, ability to work unsupervised and strong communication skills.
  • Min 3 years experience in a Category Management or Specialist role e.g. Category/Contract Specialist, Procurement Specialist (or equivalent).
  • Category Management knowledge and experience, preferably with experience managing a global portfolio



You will be based in Booragroon, great for those wanting to beat the traffic and live nearby.
Monday to Friday
9 hour days
$80 + Super
Minimum 6 months contract with view to either extend or go perm.
