About this role: Construction Supervisor - E&I

We are hiring an experienced E&I Construction Supervisor to join our client’s team on a long-term contract assignment. This is a field / site based role and will operate on a Fly-In / Fly-Out basis.


  • Strong commitment to HSSE and goal zero, setting team expectations to become SPOE.
  • Support the safety performance within the Process Area.
  • Assure Electrical Safety is achieved through construction / pre-commissioning.
  • Drive HSSE performance of EPC and Sub-Contractors.
  • Support a learning culture to continuously improve HSSE performance.
  • Ensure that design Technical Integrity in Construction is achieved, safeguarding Process Safety.
  • Be a visible leader and a consistent advocate for both IIF and Care For People site programs.
  • Own the quality of E&I construction within the Process Area.
  • Foster a culture of ‘right first time’ to achieve top quartile quality management.
  • Ensure that construction meets the requirements of the approved design and specifications.
  • Minimize punch items during construction to facilitate efficient mechanical completion, pre-commissioning and handover.
  • Support Flawless Project Delivery, supporting effective transition from Construction / Pre-Com to Commissioning and then into Start-up.
  • Strong Contract management skills under a Lump Sum EPC Contract.
  • Hold EPC Contractor accountable to deliver Contract value, in line with Scope of Work and Terms and Conditions.
  • Support the delivery of Train 1 / 2 through to RFSU.
  • Engaged with Project Services in order to interrogate Contractor’s schedule, identifying both risks and opportunities to support Ready for Start-up (RFSU).
  • Monitor key milestones to ensure construction follows the correct sequence.
  • Manage the Contractor to avoid out-of-sequence work and ensure work completion to facilitate Commissioning Start-Up (CSU) scheduled activities.
  • Participate in risk reviews and manage Risks for the Process area.Support the development of Bow-tie preventative and mitigating actions which
    are focused, tangible and achievable.
  • Develop strong Client/ Contractor relationship with the EPC Contractor.
  • Actively manage integration between Construction and;
    • HSSE Team
    • Engineering Team
    • Quality Team
    • Logistics/Material Team
    • Commissioning
    • Asset
  • Ensure a ‘best for project’ focus, in line with the EPC Contractor to minimize variation/ claim potential.
  • Proactively support the transition from Construction to Operations while still finalizing the completion of construction.




  • Extensive experiences in E&I Construction (cable pulling, terminations,electrical equipment installation and testing)
  • 15 years of progressive experience in large project construction in the oil andgas industry.
  • Experience with gas turbines and high-speed rotating equipment. This isdesirable but not essential.
  • Experience with Yokogawa control systems is preferable
  • Demonstrated experience taking a project through mechanical completionand system handover.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure full compliance with client specifications.
  • Demonstrated experience working with large complex contract.
  • Ability to step into tension and work to find solutions with stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience working collaboratively in a multi geographicalproject team, preferably across many time zones.
  • Willingness to work in a diverse, one team-oriented environment.

  • Must comply with Project Site mandatory COVID-19 vaccination requirements.
  • Must be willing to reside in the client’s camp accommodations.
