About this role: Contract Quantity Surveyor

The Contract Quantity Surveyor – AST2 All Area I&E is accountable to the AST2 Project Controls Leader as it relates to the project objectives of Responsible Care®, quantity progress tracking and COR review/progress tracking for the AST2 Process Area. The scope of responsibility, in general terms, includes all OSBL/ISBL Areas. Typical responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Responsibilities

Work closely with Construction Contractor to obtain quantities installed for the following commodities:

  • HV/MV/LV/Fiber and Instrument Cable Pull lengths and terminations;
  • Engineered Cable Tray installations;
  • Field Run Cable Tray installations;
  • Junction Boxes and Interconnect Cables;
  • Instrumentation installations;
  • Develop and implement a progress audit plan for I&E. Audit installations to identify actual progress variances from the claimed progress. Communicate variances to the Contractor and track resolutions of those variances;
  • Support progress reporting and forecasting of outcome of the I&E scope.

  • Minimum 10 years Electrical/Instrumentation Construction experience in Plant/Industrial sites
  • Demonstrated knowledge of discipline of expertise;
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others in a non-confrontational manner and work collaboratively;
  • Strong Excel skills for data management and analysis;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Strong knowledge of Electrical Construction field installation and quoting processes;
