Brunel Australasia are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join the Technology and Autonomy group of a Tier Mining client in Perth.

A key role in our client digital journey, you will play a major part in the delivery of the Integration Modernisation Strategy and broader operations automation capability to step change our Technology Operating Model.

• Day to day automating, supporting and monitoring IT processes, applications and infrastructure.• Build and run deployments with a focus on continuous integration and delivery, flexibility, best practices, high performance and continuous improvement.
• Work across on-premises and multi-cloud technologies.• Contribute to and develop a collaborative and agile culture.
• Strong learning capability; an experimenter, a researcher, enthusiastic about technology and automation.• Strong Linux experience.
• Good understanding and experience with modern containerisation concepts (Docker, Swarm).• Experience with infrastructure automation practices and tools (such as Ansible, Cloudformation, Sceptre and Terraform).
• Strong Understanding of Software Release Management, Source Code Management and a deep understanding of related concepts (such as branching, merging, hooks, etc.).• Experience with software automation practices and CI/CD tools (GitHub, Octopus deploy, Azure DevOps, Artifactory).
• Experience with syslog and cloud monitoring (like Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Splunk, Dynatrace, etc)• Understanding of Load Balancers, Security, AD, Networking, HA-DR designs (Nginx)
• Experience with API Management (e.g. Kong, NGINX, AWS API Gateway)• Comfort with collaboration, open communication and reaching across functional borders.
• A passion for DevOps principles (automation, Lean engineering, Theory of Constraints).
