About this role

Brunel is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic for immediate opportunity in the Cooper Basin.

This is great opportunity to join an expanding Oil and Gas Company, in the maintenance department.

The successful candidate will be required to carry out mechanical repairs on equipment to a high standard and support the Cooper Basin Coordinator where required.

Specific responsibilities include;

  • Implement and monitor maintenance programs for field equipment and machinery.
  • Be able to assist with transporting equipment if required.
  • Be involved in the field crew assessment program in relation to equipment preventative maintenance programs.
  • Assistance with field training of personnel in mechanical maintenance of equipment.
  • Ensure that all required equipment is available and job ready when required.
  • Ensure that all equipment is mechanically sound and in good working order.
  • Ensure that all work carried out conforms with Company Policy as well as conforming to Government regulations.
  • Attend safety and other internal/external meetings as required.
  • Conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times.
  • Communicate to management information and/or equipment that they may require.




  • Qualified Diesel Mechanic
  • Previous experience in truck and vehicle mounted crane servicing
  • CV Vehicle Loading Crane licence or higher
  • HR Truck licence or higher
  • Forklift licence
  • Computer literate
  • Senior First Aid Certificate


  • Scania Truck servicing experience
  • 4WD Ticket
  • Dogman Ticket



  • Tell us your rate!
