IntroductionWe’re hiring a Director of Communication for a Global and innovative pharmaceutical company in Mississauga, Ontario. The individual is a strategic, self-starter with brand communications experience, excellent stakeholder engagement, executive leadership and communication skills that can engage and influence others while operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities• Lead enterprise-level communications projects, plans and strategies in line with companyobjectives as needed
• Provide senior-level strategic counsel and support to the VP – Oncology on reputation andcommunications matters and represent internal and external communications on the Oncology
Leadership Team (OLT). Serve as a strategic thought partner to senior level Oncology leads (i.e.Commercial, Medical, Diagnostic, Stakeholder Relations)
• Develop the Canadian Oncology franchise-level external communications strategy, including thedelivery of 2-year Canadian Oncology franchise-level narrative that helps to highlight the
company’s leadership in Oncology internally and externally. Ensure this strategy and narrativehelps to enhance the company’s profile and reputation with targeted audiences by highlighting
the company’s leadership in Oncology, including leveraging key scientific investments andpartnerships, product milestones, and raising awareness of unmet medical needs
• Own the development and delivery of internal engagement communications strategy, plans (i.e.town halls) for the Oncology business unit (OBU), as well as key Oncology structural and change
communications plans• Design and deliver an enterprise digital strategy for the company. Enhance and elevatethe company’s enterprise presence on external digital channels, leveraging key strategic
partnerships, patient group collaborations, research partnerships and support activities to buildour profile as a leader in Canada, as well as Canadian Oncology
• Collaborate and partner stakeholder relations and government affairs colleagues to supportrelationships with key patient groups and help drive key external Oncology strategies.
• Connect and collaborate regularly with Global Corporate Affairs Oncology colleagues to ensurealignment and leverage communications and engagements between Canada, U.S. and Global
Oncology.• Triage and respond to Oncology media inquiries.• Successfully lead the development and delivery of key structural, organizational change andinternal engagement communications plans.
• Lead internal communications behind the global and Quarterly Performance Updates.• Effectively engage and partner with agency partners to ensure delivery of projects and programswithin budget and schedule
