About this role

On behalf of our client, a Global High Profile company within the Oil & Gas industry, Brunel are seeking an Environmental Solutions Specialist – Perth based to undertake offshore project work. It is preferable that suitable candidates will be available to commence at short notice.

  • Performing start-up and shutdowns of ES equipment such as Shale Shakers, Hydrocyclones, Centrifuges, Dryers, Pumps and Screw Conveyors
  • Equipment installations and troubleshooting of ES equipment
  • API Shaker Screen Classification
  • Knowledge regarding Centrifuge equipment properties, ie GPM per cone, Feet of Head required, Unit labels
  • Knowledge regarding the Centrifuge operation for when using weighted or un-weighted drilling fluid
  • Ability to explain and perform spill response procedure if required
  • Undertake field and workshop STEM Maintenance procedures as per company guidlelines
  • Liaising with key customer personnel on rig locations
  • Prepare and generate daily and Post Well Reports as per company standards
  • Follow company Work Instructions and Procedures
  • Attend Client Safety and Operational Meetings as instructed
  • Complete any other reasonable task as assigned by an Operations Manager / Supervisor


  • Adhere to Quality Health Safety and Environmental Policies
  • Ensure all required training is uptodate
  • Reference Risk Assessments and Job Safety Analysis prior to all job tasks
  • Ensure all QHSE events are observed at company/client locations are immediately reported and initiate the corrective preventative process
  • Be aware of physical and health hazards in the workplace


  • Secondary education or equivalent - indepth mechanical aptitude and knowledge of a working environment
  • Mechanical and Electrical background
  • Computer skills / training
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • A minimum of five years Drilling experience and prior knowledge of Solids Control Operations
