On behalf of our client, a Global High Profile Service Provider to the Oil & Gas industry, Brunel are looking for a Field Service Technician for offshore work in Western Australia starting ASAP. With previous relevant mechanical experience and offshore / onshore experience, a competitive salary is on offer!!

  • Work independently to install new products, retrofits and conducts repairs of TFMC equipment
  • Ensure no NPT for our customers while controlling expenses and maintaining assets of TFMC
  • Provide project start-up expertise, to include oversight during first installations
  • Assure all equipment, service tooling and spare parts are on location and ready to use and function fit prior to beginning each job
  • Records critical dimensions to ensure assembly will work and obtains or creates product running procedures
  • Provide “Project Support” as required, for all new projects which includes attending, design review for equipment and tools, reviewing installation procedures, assisting with project Factory Acceptance Tests and reviewing project training requirements for service personnel
  • Maintain communication with Company Representative on issues including job procedures, spare parts requirements, function fit and critical dimension measurements
  • Provide sales support through quality customer interface and keeps customer fully informed of all aspects of the job. Handles customer complaints in a professional manner
  • Complete Field Non-Conformance Reports (FNCR) forms as product problems are encountered. Assures all equipment and procedural defects are communicated back to TFMC Service Management
  • Prepare and submit Field Service Orders and other region required reports after each job is complete
  • Complete a Tally book or other form to communicate procedures, spare parts, critical dimensions and customer questions and complaints
  • Understands and follows all TFMC and customer safety requirements
  • Proactively pursues safe work practices, recommends safe work practices/procedures and participates in safety meetings and safety training
  • Be prepared to travel locally and internationally to other regions as required
  • Drive self-development to become knowledgeable of all products & services
  • Attend Customer CWOP and DWOP understanding customers drilling operations / program
  • Ensure to have a proper Pre and Post Job discussions with Service Coordinator
  • Ability to troubleshoot field issues
  • Able to work under minimum supervision and in a demanding working environment



  • Engineering degree preferred, or a relevant trade certificate
  • Must have sound understanding in mechanical aptitude and or hydraulics related equipment preferably in the Oil and Gas or similar type industry
  • Must be familiar with execution of work duties in accordance with formal procedures and ability to read and understand the procedures and drawings
  • Must have sound understanding of HSES requirements and good working practices
  • 2+ years’ experience related to mechanical, electronic and or hydraulics related experience
  • Previous relevant onshore/offshore experience in at least one product line or a related discipline
  • Strong communication and inter-personal skills
  • Capable of working in a team and individually

FIFO (fly-in fly-out) and local workers on WA mining and resource sites, people who work in remote operations, or run critical infrastructure, including remote train and port control, must receive their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine by 12:01am 1 December 2021, and be fully vaccinated by 1 January 2022. This is mandated by the State Gov’t of Western Australia.
