Brunel is currently searching for an HSE Manager for direct hire with our client to support their Bridgeport, Ct region.

- Establish HSE Targets and Objectives. Track and report to the management team.- Prepare and communicate the HSE Monthly Project Status Reports.
- Establish, track, and report the HSE KPI’s.- Ensure organization is properly staffed to support Project Site Execution
- Intervene and escalate HSE issues to PM and if necessary, to respective senior management, where significant HSE-related procedures and processes are not complied with.- Plan, initiate and coordinate continuous improvement of new/revised HSE programs and initiatives.
- Ensures all injuries and near misses are analyzed for trends.- Ensure the projects are staffed with qualified HSE professionals to meet legal compliance.
- Address day to day issues to ensure appropriate risk measures are in place during the transportation, installation, and commissioning of project- Ensure processes are in place to address legal compliance
- Ensure appropriate levels of management are made aware of HSE deficiencies and provide a recommended course of action to eliminate or minimize risks until the deficiency is corrected. - Support the CEO in executing their strategy regarding HSE.

Requirements

Requirements

- Preferred Associates degree or higher in Industrial Engineering or Occupational Health and Safety, or certifications such as; CSP, ASP,OHST, CHST, or STS from any relevant accredited safety program.- 2-8 related work experience.
- Working knowledge of HSE management systems.- Experience in renewable energy or offshore construction is preferred.
- Knowledge in the technical fundamentals of safety management and risk assessments and reduction, including machinery and process safety, industrial hygiene, loss prevention, ergonomics and occupational health.- Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship.
