An exciting opportunity for a Health, Environment & Safety (HES) Specialist to join the HES Find & Develop team. Reporting to the HSE Supervisor for CO2/Wells, the role will be based in Perth with occasional site travel.

The role manages the implementation and sustainability of the Managing Safe Work Process (MSW), including the associated corporate required OE standards (e.g. Confined Space Entry). Also, the role manages and prioritizes work related to the Contractor Health Environment and Safety Management (CHESM) process and the Motor Vehicle Safety (MVS) process.

  • Lead the planning and implementation of the Project HSE Risk Management Plan and Process Safety Management Plan
  • Coordinate HSE related Risk Studies i.e. iHAZID, Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA), PHA, Hazard and Operability (HAZOP), other risk related activities
  • Conduct Technical Safety Engineering deliverable reviews and manage the HSE Risk Register
  • Oversee HSE aspects in relation to the Project Technical Management of Change (PMOC) and the HSE BOD
  • Coordination of technical HSE input to support any Safety case or other regulatory documentation
  • Commitment to health, environment and safety and best practices

  • Broad knowledge of Operational Excellence processes and experience supporting practical application of them in a field execution environment
  • Understanding of the Operational Excellence Assurance framework
  • Previous experience in building and maintaining positive working relationships with contractors/business partners and internal and external stakeholders
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills and the ability to engage with all levels of the business in a professional and courteous manner and be proficient in the Microsoft suite of applications
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and build key relationships that contribute to high-class business results
  • Demonstrated commitment to values of integrity, partnership and trust and achieving an incident and injury free environment
