In order to complete Mechanical Completion, Pre-commissioning and Commissioning activities in accordance with the project completion plan and schedule, he should:

  • Understand his roles and responsibilities and to be compliant with
  • Understand the project completion execution plan from the Discipline Superintendent
  • Understand Notification of Energization (NOE) Flow Chart
  • Understand System Drawings fully and Walk Down procedure
  • Complete a Daily Report to ensure clear visibility to the Discipline Superintendent
  • Attend the Daily Discipline Tool Box Talk to eliminate any hazards and negative environmental impacts
  • Preparation of PTW, JSA (Job Safety Analysis) / TRA (Task Risk Assessment) as applicable in GEMS
  • Perform the Mechanical Completion Activities (‘A’ Scope ITRs) in close cooperation with the construction team in compliance with the project drawings and specifications
  • Perform the Pre-commissioning Activities (‘B’ Scope ITRs) in compliance with the vendor documentations and specifications
  • Prepare and perform the Operation Test Procedure (OTP) under the supervision of the discipline superintendent
  • Supervise the discipline Technicians to ensure that they are fully familiarized with project requirements and safety SBM Electrical Group Safety Rules
  • Demonstrate the Constant Pre-Commissioning Progress
  • Utilize specific tools and test equipment for the system commissioning in safety and with quality
  • Assist field service vendor to conduct the system commissioning
  • Monitor Vendors work scope and activities.

This role is vital to the safe and effective delivery, ensuring that instrumentation and control systemsand equipment are in a safe condition and meets safety and technical standards.

  • Technical College diploma in Automation, Instrumentation & Control or Electrical disciplines or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 8 years’ construction or commissioning experiences in the Offshore products and systems.
  • Preferably gained within Product Lines and FPSO experience will be a strong selection criteria.
  • Completions Tools (ECOM) including documentations
  • PTW and JSA
  • Competency of Ex Qualification such as CompEx Or IECEx COPC or equivalent training and significant experience
  • Valid Sea Survival OPITO certificate BOSIET/HUET represents an advantage
  • Should possess knowledge of and preferably experience in:
  1. Assisting the yard team for Instrumentation installation and perform Pre Commission/Commission for Instruments on Topsides, Vessel and various packages
  2. Knowledge of control systems including ICSS and PLC systems; Experience with Siemens PCS7 DCS and Siemens loop wiring typicals will be considered as a strong advantage
  3. Experienced in Fault-finding and repair of instrumentation/electronic systems and equipment in Control panels and in the field
  4. Experienced on installation, calibration, testing and troubleshooting for all types of Field instrumentation including Temperature, Flow, Level and Pressure Transmitters, Analysers, condition monitoring sensors for rotating equipment, etc
  5. Experienced in Installation, Pre-commissioning and Commissioning of Fire and Gas detection system and its associated detectors and executive action means (Fire and Heat Detectors, open path flammable and toxic gas detectors, SDV, ESDV, BDV, etc)
  6. Experienced on installation, calibration, testing and troubleshooting for all types of valves, especially control valves (pneumatic, hydraulic or electrical) and various types of actuators and positioners
  7. Experienced in Instrumentation cold and hot loop Checking activity
  8. Experienced in the interpretation of all engineering documents including Instrumentation Datasheets, P&IDs, Cause & Effect Diagrams, Loop Drawings, etc
  9. Experience of using test equipment including pressure calibrators, HART Communicators, Multimeters, etcFamiliar with the concept of Commissioning Systems and the representation of the same using Limits of System Hanover Documents
