About this role

We’re hiring a Lubricant Technical Advisor for our client, a leading oil & gas company for their (Lubricant division), to join their growing team. This is a permanent role for Bangalore Location.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Understand customer needs, external and market insights to bring new product technology ideas
  • Lead development and finalization of product profiles, working cross-functionally
  • Align on finalize program deliverables & timing with Marketing and Technology management
  • Lead projects from profile definition to commercial launch, including formulation finalization and production
  • Develop test plan, review data, and conduct analysis to define lead technical solution adhering to product provide / deliverable expectations
  • Actively use and comply with all internal processes and systems
  • Provide regular updates on project to relevant stakeholders & communicate changes in deliverable / timing
  • Articulate technical data into marketing collateral for marketing claims support / external communications
  • Understand, execute and improve business processes for product launch and support
  • Provide technical support to marketing team
  • Technical expert for manufacturing production and quality support working with key stakeholders and leveraging root cause analysis with appropriate documentation
  • Interact proactively and facilitate communication and collaboration with technical community
  • Develop reputation as a recognized expert within externally
  • Work towards improvement in understanding of formulation fundamentals & lubricant applications
  • Screen new additive & basestock technologies to utilize in advanced lubricant formulations
  • Research, understand, and articulate technology trends, standards, customer requirements and competitive threats



Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors/Masters/ PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Chemistry or equivalent field
  • Minimum 2 year of relevant work experience
  • Solution seeker – ability to critically evaluate different solutions to address the need
  • Commercial intensity – ability to drive product to commercial success
  • Willingness to learn systems and build process understanding
  • Effective collaboration and risk management skills
  • Experience in formulation, commercial and industrial application and knowledge in basestock
