About this role: Mechanical Equipment Engineer

Mechanical Equipment Engineer required in Schiedam, NL on a 12 month renewable contract.

As Mechanical Equipment Engineer, you are responsible for using discipline knowledge and design experience related to static equipment, utilities equipment, lifting & handling equipment, as well as general mechanical equipment (all related equipment excluding rotating equipment categories).

You are responsible for identifying innovative methods to carry out assigned tasks, ensuring all required mechanical equipment is functional and accounted for within a design, and are compliant with internal and external requirements.

As a Mechanical Equipment Engineer, you must be familiar with package engineering functions, vendor documents, and select FATs. You may be assigned as a Package Engineer with technical responsibility for the design, procurement and manufacture of the Package.

The Mechanical Equipment Engineer must prioritize activities and liaise with other Discipline Leads as needed to ensure deliverables.

Job requirements:
Engineering degree with a strong mechanical focus 5 years experience in the Oil and Gas Engineering
Expertise in mechanical equipment (pressure vessels, pumps) Expertise in handling components (winches, cranes, hoists,…)
Good general knowledge of piping, electrical, instrumentation and process disciplines
Behaviours &inter-personal skills - Key points:
Good organization and coordination skills to deal with complex interfaces with other disciplines and vendors
Management skills to drive vendors and engineering subcontractors Proactiveness, autonomy and entrepreneurship
