Brunel is currently searching for a National Consulting Manager for direct hire with our client in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The new National Consulting Manager will support regional teams and specific end user client providing subject matter expertise in areas of blasting activities including vibration and fragmentation. In this role you will be responsible for managing teams across the U.S.

  • Guide and lead efforts to maintain world class technical expertise and provide that expertise to customers through specifically designed offerings
  • Oversee the development of solution based digital tools and algorithms in technical blasting sciences including vibration, fragmentation, geologic conditions, analytics and product selection/delivery
  • Provide leadership to the team, setting goals and initiatives to develop new tools and technical consulting offerings
  • Coordinate software and technical tool development efforts between subject matter experts and principal consultants and software development resources
  • Evaluate and set standard operating procedures for employees for measuring blast performance. These standards will include proper equipment (boretrak, 3D burden, fragmentation, etc) selection, data integrity, and typical analysis procedures
  • Manage template library for reports, analyses, case studies, and publications
  • Work with marketing team to produce marketing materials for technical solutions and digital offerings
  • Develop high level consulting training opportunities with principal consultants and subject matter experts



  • Four-year degree in Mining, Geo-technical, Mineral, and/or Geological Engineering, Civil Engineering. Advanced Degree preferred.
  • Industry proven and respected technical expertise in explosives application and performance assessment.
  • 15+ Years’ working experience with progressively increasing professional responsibility with leading edge technology to achieve results.
  • Experience managing processes and personnel is a requirement.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure customer environment
  • Ability to distil complex project information into cohesive action plans and recommendations.
  • Current MSHA (or ability to receive) certification for Part 46 and 48
  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
  • MUST be eligible to work in the U.S. for any employer, sponsorship is not available.



  • Competitive base salary starting at $150K+ based on experience plus 20% annual bonus potential
