Brunel have partnered with a leading International OEM to successfully recruit and place a suitably qualified Planner to support our Client’s Major Projects Portfolio.

The role will provide planning and scheduling services to the Project and be responsible for reliable, accurate and timely planning and scheduling services, while supporting the corporate objective to achieve on time delivery.

  • Develop Project Schedules within allocated time frame.
  • Produce detailed schedules complete with resources and logic.
  • Liaise with the project team on a daily basis in order to obtain data necessary for the project schedule.
  • Liaise with the project team to ensure the timely completion, issue and approval of Project Schedules.
  • Update the project schedule on a regular basis as required under the contract or as required by the Project Manager and provide all reporting requested by the project team or the Management team.
  • Prepare schedules for the management of the works, update and amend the schedules as necessary to optimise completion dates.
  • Analyse data and advise of any changes.
  • Be proactive with all aspects under the contract and continually develop skills in Primavera, MS Project and MS Excel and train others in this software as required.
  • Utilise and improve the available in-house software to increase engineering productivity, control and output.
  • Arrange for progress reporting, as requested by the Project Manager.
  • Participate in internal and / or external project review meetings.
  • Review and expedite receivable of Subcontractor schedules as requested.
  • Manage and coordinate aspects of the project, as assigned by the Project Manager. These may cover any of the phases from project development and tendering phase through design, fabrication, site erection, commissioning and the defects liability period.
  • Liaise with the client and subcontractors on any project matters as requested by the Project Manager.
  • Any other task as identified and instructed by the line manager.

  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification
  • Primavera P6 experience.
  • Relevant Project experience.
  • 4+ years’ experience in Project Planning.
  • Advanced Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Database Management.
  • Good interpersonal and telephone skills.
  • Good organisation skills and the ability to manage priorities.
