About this role: Planning & Cost Engineer

Planning & Cost Engineer required to support major renewable energy projects within DRC.

A Planner and Cost Controller will vary, however typical duties and activities undertaken include:- Create, maintain, review and administer construction schedules and plans, cost reports
- Liaising with managers and engineers to discuss the progress of the project and address any issues that arise- Liaise with external contractors and suppliers to organize the phases of the construction development
- Keep the client team up to date on progress to present to the client- Present information for internal meetings on the project
- Problem solving- Produce tender plannings to support bids
- Create, maintain, review and administer budget, commitment, actual, forecast costs



A Planner is an important part of any Project Controls team and to be successful in the role, a broad range of key skills are required, including:- Strong communication including writing reports and presenting
- Understanding engineering principles- Time management and planning
- Organisation, leadership, methodological approach- High Attention to detail
- Excellent IT skills and relevant knowledge of Planning software including Primavera P6, MS Project, Asta PowerProject and Cost software ERP Entreprise Resource Planning SAP, including Omega PIMS, Ares PRISM, Ecosys- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Strong Problem solving- Budget and financial management
- Work as part of a team and individually- A Site Management background is beneficial
- Speak English and French fluently- Qualification for planning, to pursue a career within planning, a bachelor’s degree in an engineering related field, including building management, construction engineering, building studies, surveying and civil engineering will help
