About this role: Production Support Upstream Specialist

We’re hiring a Production Support Upstream Specialist with our client, a global pharmaceutical company in the GTA. This contract ends in June 2022. This is a great opportunity to have exposure to a large GMP production.

This professional will support GMP production of clinical drug substance in CMP facilities. This includes use of fermentation and recovery processing equipment, including disposable closed systems for upstream processing

Responsibilities

  • Support GMP production of Clinical Drug Substance in CMP facilities. This includes use of fermentation and recovery processing equipment, including disposable closed systems for upstream processing.
  • Understanding and performance of environmental monitoring within g Class C areas, as well as maintaining records for inventory of materials. Cross train and support other production areas as needed
  • Preparation of documents & GMP compliance activities
  • Assist with preparation of SOPs, master BPRs, & validation protocols.
  • Assist with preparation of Manufacturing Record Files (MRFs).
  • Document development experiments in laboratory notebooks and assist with preparation of summary reports. Help to maintain inventories through tracking, cycle counting, forecasting and ordering
  • Make sure the lab is clean.

  • Bachelor or college degree.
  • Experience with GMP production lab and vaccines
  • Working experience with lab equipment, using large scale equipment, autoclave, and fermenters.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and some weekends.
  • Great communications skills
  • Ability to work in a team
