About this role

We are hiring a Project Manager for our client, a pioneer and global leader in Brain Computer Interface (BCI) technologies with expertise in designing and developing innovative clinical devices with neural-to-digital applications.

This Project Manager will preferably posses a strong expertise in guiding medical device products through the StageGate process from project kickoff through post-launch market surveillance. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the Product Development Process (PDP), and able to take a leadership role in enhancing the company’s PDP processes, as well as ensuring the company increases chance of product success and minimizes risk by facilitating appropriate cross functional discussion, exploration, and decisions.

Responsibilities

• Manages product development projects through the company’s StageGate process from project initiation through post-launch activities• Ensures project resources are identified and approved by management, including the core product team and extended product team
• Sits on product development core team along with Product Manager, Lead Engineer, and Sales Engineer• Prepares recommendation for and gains approval by core team and management of the specific PDP deliverables needed for each project, as different products will have different project deliverables
• Collaborates with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Operations, Finance, and other groups • Captures milestones and timelines in the project schedule
• Communicates project schedule to stakeholders• Facilitates ongoing team review, updates, and action items for the deliverables
• Identifies project roadblocks and enlists needed resources to remove them• Leads project team in striving for project efficiency and product quality
• Drives awareness and resolution of project and product risks that could significantly impact product success, including the need to address those threats as early in the project as possible• Leads ongoing efforts to improve the company’s PDP process to increase efficiency
• Serves as an expert in the company's Quality Management System (QMS), collaborating with the product team to make sure processes are followed effectively.• Project manages initiatives besides product development projects as needed by the company
• Builds necessary understanding of technical and clinical aspects of product• Ability to influence and align internal stakeholders
• Thrives in fast growth environment • Team player

• Minimum of 2 years in Project Management positions• Minimum of 2 years in medical device industry
• Experience with StageGate type product development processes• Ideally, experience in the neuro market
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification desired, but not required
