About this role: Refinery Operations Superintendent (Solid Sulfur Handling)

  • Our Client, one of the largest international company specialized in O&M services is currently recruiting for Refinery Operations Superintendent (Solid Sulfur Handling) to be based in Kuwait.

  • Project : O&M Contract of New Refinery;
  • Job Location : Al Zour, Kuwait;
  • Duration of the Contract : 1 Year Renewable;
  • Start Date : Jan-2022;

Job Description:

  • Plans, supervises and directs the operation of the units and systems in his assigned section of Refinery operations;
  • Participates in planning and scheduling of operations and shutdowns for his units and coordinates all maintenance and inspection work for the respective units;
  • Coordinates training and follows up programs and progress.




  • B.E in Chemical Engineering or Equivalent;
  • A minimum of 15 years' of experience in operating and Commissioning of Refinery /Petrochemicals;
  • At least 8 years' experience in a similar position involving pre-commissioning and commissioning project(s);
  • Proven experience in handling activities related to refinery Operations;
  • Specific Process Units experience relevant to Sulphur Granulation / Sulphur Pelletizing / Sulphur loading Pier / Marine loading arms / Ship loading / Refinery Tank farm / Oil Pier is required;
  • Assumes full responsibility for the role as envisaged by Health, Safety and Environment Management System;
  • Strong people management and interpersonal skills;
  • Good written, verbal communication and presentation skills in English.




  • KWD 2100/- OR USD 7000/- per month (8 Hrs a day or 48 Hrs a Week);
  • Accommodation, Food & Transportation will be Provided by the Client;
  • Yearly Air Tickets or Allowance will be Provided by the Client.
