Brunel Australasia are currently seeking Oilfield Rig Crew to work in QLD and SA. These are FIFO roles based out of Brisbane/Toowoomba/Adelaide.

This is an exciting opportunity to enter the oil and gas drilling industry with a major international company!

This will be a contract based role for upcoming drilling activity in the Surat and Cooper Basins, commencing immediately. An exciting opportunity to join a major international drilling company. Seeking Candidates ideally based in South East Queensland and South Australia for work in Surat and Cooper Basins.

The Leasehand is primarily responsible for housekeeping and providing assistance to all crew members when advised by the direct supervisor. Other duties include assisting the rig floor with general tasks such as loading and unloading trucks, building fences, and may be required to fill in on the rig floor at times.

  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and Government safety regulations pertaining to the worksite.
  • Knowledge of MSDS and how to handle hazardous material is essential.
  • Participate in safety initiatives.
  • Conduct housekeeping duties such as cleaning, tidy and painting the rig.
  • Physical labor which includes loading and unloading trucks, and digging ditches.
  • Assist crane and forklift operators in off-loading and loading all drilling materials and supplies.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Assist with rig moves as directed by superiors.

Additional roles also required as follows;

  • Motorhand
  • Floorhand
  • Leasehand

Requirements

Requirements

  • Physical strength and stamina
  • The ability to work long hours and in extreme conditions
  • Must be able to work at heights
  • Able to follow directions and company policies
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • A general knowledge of machinery is considered to be an asset
  • Open, manual Driver’s License

Holding any of the following certs will be advantageous;

  • First Aid /CPR
  • DCGI /ISI
  • 4x4 Operate Vehicles in the Field
  • Breathing Apparatus
  • Confined Space Training
  • Gas Testing and Monitoring
  • Working At Heights
  • Wellsite Permit to Work
  • Cert II-IV in Drilling
  • IWCF
