About this role

Canadian listed company whose flagship project in a mining sector in Mattilanperä, Raahe. Production is expected to begin during 2021.

  • Working with people in "the line" to solve problems and improve the management of day to;
  • day operations and environmental risks;
  • Work with operations to ensure plant / data collection systems are monitoring and recording compliance related data, accurately and completely;
  • Analyze, review and interrogate data as required by license conditions and legislation;
  • Assist with preparation of Cloudseeding annual report;
  • Develop, maintain and improve data collection and storage systems for statutory reporting;
  • Prepare hydro and thermal annual license returns and performance statements;
  • Assist with maintenance of environmental controls in other Corporate systems;
  • With other functions, participate in the development of compliance, risk and incident management systems;
  • Assist with design and delivery of internal audit program;
  • Assist with annual certification audits;
  • Assist with development of external Company (environment) reports;
  • Carry out the role of Environment Compliance Advisor.

Requirements

Requirements

  • Qualification in environmental or natural resource management discipline or equivalent;
  • Experience in an environmental advisory or natural resource management role;
  • Strong data analysis and reporting skills;
  • Demonstrated analytical and technical report interpretation skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare reports to meet external compliance obligations;
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and complete assignments within allocated timeframes;
  • Ability to work well within a team environment;
  • Ability to develop constructive relationships and positively influence agencies and regulators;
  • Understanding of NSW and/or VIC environmental legislation, standards and codes of practice;
  • Skills in environmental auditing, incident investigation, and report writing.
