About this role: SCADA Project Manager

We’re hiring a SCADA Project Manager for our oil and gas client to join their leading and growing team! This is a 12-month contract opportunity where you will be responsible for managing the implementation of the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System (SCADA) as well as other SCADA, technology, and communications-related projects.

Responsibilities

  • This position supports SCADA physical installations, network security policies and coordinates cross-departmental efforts to integrate operational data and information into other business applications.
  • Managing 3rd party contractor schedule/progress.
  • Manages and collaborates with contractors, consultants, and vendors on various SCADA projects.
  • Decision Making: Makes decisions and recommendations on highly technical or complex issues and without formal guidelines or precedents.
  • Responsible for a project Commercially.
  • Responsible for a project Technically. Work closely with the Team to ensure that the solution is technically acceptable.
  • Directing and participating in designing activities, programming (code development), monitoring, including testing, start-up and commissioning new sites into SCADA

  • Experienced across a variety of PLC, SCADA and DCS Systems – Ignition is an asset but not required
  • Prior experience of Managing projects with a budget in excess of $1,000,000.
  • 7 Years + experience Project Management Level with 3+ years working with SCADA Systems.
  • Experience with Alarms Rationalization and leading and analyzing the work.
  • Demonstrated project management skills including project initiation, scoping, resourcing, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and communication
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, which enable successful collaboration with peers and stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of project processes and financials
  • Strong understanding of commissioning SCADA systems and leading the team through the process.
  • Strong understanding of HMI to Logic Solver configuration.
  • PLC/HMI design and programming experience in the oil and gas industry
  • PLC programming experience
  • HMI programming experience
