About this role

  • 12 month contract
  • Work across both the Operator and a leading EPC
  • Perth based
  • Relevant experience in oil and gas industry and experience of EPC contract development & management a must.

Brunel are recruiting a Senior Contracts Engineer to work with our client to provide strategic contracting services for client projects and future tie-in projects

  • Responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects relevant to the prequalification, preparation, issue, receipt, opening and assessment of tenders and award & execution and management and close out of projects related contract including;
  • Development of the best suitable contracting strategies for Phase 2c and future tie-in projects with relevant stakeholders in order to maximize the value of entire Ichthys project.
  • Preparation and coordination of tender stage for the key contracts including negotiation for commercial and contractual matters (including necessary novation/bridging deed amongst parties). In addition, manage tender evaluation and internal / external approval process.
  • Management of EPC contracts including management of changes and negotiation with EPC contractors.Achieve cost savings through the contract management process.
  • Close-out of contracts (including close out reporting) and manage contract data feedback to INPEX corporate.
  • Active contribution to other project controls activities during project execute stage such as cost control, planning and Document control


  • 10 plus years of relevant experience in oil and gas industry.
  • Experience of EPC contract development and management in oil and gas industry
  • Appropriate level of understanding of facilities engineering
