PERMANENT opportunity for a Senior Electrical Project Engineer, required for a major Gold Mine expansion project in Cowal, NSW!

Brunel are exclusively partnered with a Leading Australian Gold Miner to recruit a Senior Project Engineer for their Expansion Project in Cowal, NSW. This is a Permanent position and an exciting opportunity to contribute to one of Australia’s largest Gold Projects in the last 15 years!

As the Senior Electrical Project Engineer, you will have the responsibility for the delivery of all surface works through enabling works, design, construction, commissioning and handover for all surface related scope, including;
•Underground ore crushing (mobile contractor)•Elution circuit upgrade
•Process tailings deslime•Mine Infrastructure Area (MIA) upgrade
•Site services and utilities•Off-Site Accommodation Village

•Tertiary qualifications in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering •Multi-disciplinary project engineering experience in brownfield heavy industrial projects.
•EPCM and Owner Delivery project engineering experience for capital projects >$300m CAPEX.•Clear track record of delivering projects through to practical completion and
commissioning in an operational environment.•5 to 10 years’ experience in mining or heavy industry project delivery.
•Discipline engineering demonstrated by degree and engineering association affiliation.•Ability to present with confidence to senior management and significant stakeholders on the project strategy, forward plan and business case performance for the package
•Sound technical discipline knowledge•Sound knowledge of project engineering, design, construction, documentation and
administration•Focus on schedule, scope and budget
•Excellent communication skills with an ability to build and maintain strong relationships with contractors as well as internal and external stakeholders.•Contractor management and application of contract obligations
•Relationship management, conflict management and resolution/problem expertise.•Detailed change management identification and documentation
•Thoroughness and attention to detail and accuracy.•Material risk identification, reporting and mitigation.
•Demonstrable positive HSE leadership culture, particularly familiarity with obligations under the NSW Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation and Work Health and Safety (Minesand Petroleum Sites) legislation
•Environmental and Statutory Compliance•Commitment to consistently deliver results and behaviours that exceed expectations
