Brunel Energy is looking to recruit a Senior Geologist for a permanent staff position with our Client. This role will be offered on a 15:13 day rotation from Perth to Site (WA)
Our Client holds a number of tenements, the exploration of which the company is rapidly progressing in order to support and inform potential future studies and development. The project is considered to be a strategically important opportunity, with its mineral resources having the potential to extend the useable life of existing infrastructure and assets, provide greater blending and operational flexibilities across the company’s suite of iron ore operations and options, and enhance the business cases for development of those other options and projects.

In order to support that exploration programme, and others, our Client is now looking to recruit a Senior Geologist. FIFO out of Perth on an even-time roster the key responsibilities of this role will be to:

  • Coordinate and verify safe work in accordance with the procedures and guidelines.
  • Lead exploration work programs taking accountability for safety in accordance with all legislation.
  • Review and evaluate projects to identify potential mineralisation and increase orebody knowledge.
  • Lead and develop a team of geologists to ensure quality and consistency of geological data capture and interpretation across the Geology team.\
  • Work collaboratively with and provide information to studies and mine planning teams, including geotechnical, metallurgical and environmental data.
  • Create detailed 3D plans of drill programs designed to test for mineralisation and increase resource confidence to de-risk future mining.
  • Plan, manage and report on exploration programs to meet internal and external (statutory) requirements.
  • Create high-quality 3D geological models for resource estimation.
  • Develop, track and report budgets and schedules for work programs.



  • WA full drivers’ licence.
  • Senior first aid certificate.
  • Current 4WD Ticket.
  • Tertiary qualification in Geoscience (or similar Environmental Science, or Mining and Metals).
  • Previous experience with iron ore would be highly regarded.
  • Previous experience with Vulcan, Leapfrog, Datashed, or Logchief would be highly regarded.



  • Permanent staff role (with benefits & Annual Bonus etc).
  • Roster: 15 days on, 13 days off (almost even time).
  • Salary: $150 - $155 Base + Superannuation (10%) + FIFO Allowances.
