Location: Calgary, AB

Schedule: M-F / Hybrid 3 days in office, 2 days remote at manager’s discretion

The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for attracting top talent for essential corporate positions for North America. This includes full life cycle recruitment support to managers including job descriptions, job postings and advertisements, sourcing candidates, building talent pools, resume short listing, interviews and hiring packages.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the talent acquisition process: actively engage with hiring managers and senior leaders, providing ongoing status of requisitions, advise and guide hiring managers throughout the hiring process, successfully filling key roles within the organization;
  • Understand the unique needs, challenges and opportunities of each business unit so as to develop customized talent sourcing and attraction strategies to successfully fill essential corporate positions;
  • Facilitate the entire recruiting process, including, but not limited to, coordinating requisition process, creating and posting job descriptions, actively sourcing passive candidates, screening and conducting interviews, coordinating interviews with hiring managers, reference checks, creating and finalizing offers, ensuring that candidates are engaged and updated throughout the process;
  • Work closely with hiring managers and human resources to ensure that competencies and position specifications are accurately reflected in job postings and selection criteria;
  • Utilize sourcing tools and techniques to source passive talent such as headhunting, online social networking, traditional networking, cold calling, and referrals;
  • Track and report on recruitment statistics and metrics to improve best practices, existing tools and processes, and develop new and innovative methods that facilitate Precision’s ability to attract and hire the best talent;
  • Provide consultation and education to hiring managers and senior leaders to facilitate the transfer of knowledge around talent acquisition best practices and policies;
  • Ensure and continuously work to enhance a positive candidate experience including maximizing the efficiency and timeliness of recruitment processes while demonstrating the highest level of quality and integrity to potential hires;
  • Recommend and influence offer process in partnership with the hiring managers;
  • Monitor the effectiveness of recruiting tools and provide recommendations for enhancements; and,
  • Participation in ad hoc Talent Acquisition projects, programs, and events as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Human Resources or Business;
  • 5 to 10 years of recruitment experience;
  • Energy industry recruitment experience of exempt-level professionals would be considered an asset but not required;
  • IT, accounting and engineering recruiting experience a plus;
  • SuccessFactors experience a plus;
  • Experience in United States hiring processes is a plus
  • Flexible, service-oriented professional who relates easily at all levels and can express independent opinions;
  • Demonstrates sound judgment in obtaining solutions;
  • Strong negotiation and candidate closing skills;
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills;
  • Has a ‘hands on’ working style; and,
  • Knowledge and experience in the Microsoft Office Suite.
