About this role

We’re hiring a Static Engineer for our client, a leading company, to join their growing team. This is a Contractual position for 3 months based in Chennai location.

Responsibilities:

  • Senior staff engineer position;
  • Responsible for developing technical requirements, specification and services relating to mechanical equipment such as pressure vessels, process columns, heat exchangers, storage tanks, spheres, boilers and static packaged units;
  • Duties include preparation of datasheets, Specifications, Material Requisition, Evaluation of Technical Bid, Vendor document review and engineering coordination with vendors and inter discipline;
  • Provides technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers;
  • Perform Man-hour estimate, Develop MPP, Progress reporting, Implement catchup plan;
  • Represent advocate and negotiate for Company with clients and contractors.

Position type : 3 months contract

FPSO, Off Shore and Brown field is must.

  • 10 years of experience (Shall work as a lead or area lead), specifically in Static and Fired equipment division;
  • Shall have Working knowledge of current ASME, TEMA, API, EN standards for static equipment;
  • Shall have familiarity with Wind and Seismic design per international codes. Basic understanding of PFDs & PIDs is a must. FPSO, Off Shore and Brown field;
  • Experience is a must. Shall have working knowledge of IBR and NACE. Exposure to FEA, NDE, Testing, Welding, heat treatment, Painting Insulation requirements are essential;
  • Qualification:- Degree in Mechanical Engineering. !! Shall be a Materials (Refinery and Petrochemical field) specialist.
