About this role

A dynamic and exciting offshore wind company is seeking a Cable Supply Manager who will act as the technical lead for the IAC system. This role will oversee matters including design, manufacture, inspection/testing, termination and commissioning of the system. This position is perfect for proven engineers and electrical managers with 5+ years of experience and an eye for details. International travel and/or offshore attendance may be required.

Job Responsibilities
The primary job responsibilities will be split into the following categories:
Engineering

  • Develop/Implement the Cable Manufacturing Plan as well as Package Engineering plan.
  • Manage contractor activities, FEED works, CVA approval process, etc.

Procurement

  • Assess the technical compliance of bids by preparing technical documentation and leading assessments as required.
  • Ensure technical sufficiency of the IAC systems.

Manufacturing

  • Lead/coordinate efforts of the Engineering, Quality, and Expediting teams.
  • Witness and sign key manufacturing testing activities.
  • Monitor reporting manufacturing progress.

Installation

  • Review and approve the cable jointing and termination procedures as well as field-testing to ensure Contractor's compliance.

Requirements

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience as a Project Engineer, Electrical Manager, Electrical Engineer or similar role.
  • Proven technical background with installation of offshore cables.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills.
