We’re hiring Technical Professional- Process engineer, for a leading MNC to join their growing team. This position is based out in Chennai

  • Job title : Technical Professional- Process engineer;
  • Contract duration : 6 months & extendable;
  • Location : Chennai;

  • Exp. : 6+ Years of relevant experience in Process Engineering.

Demonstrated experience in ammonia / utility

Qualifications, Skills & Expérience

  • BSc or BEng Graduate (minimum, MSc/MEng preferred) in Chemical Engineering;
  • 5 to 10 Years of progressive experience in working in one or more of the following technology areas: onshore/offshore oil and gas projects and downstream projects in refining, ammonia, Utilities & Offsites, petrochemicals, onshore gas processing and LNG;
  • Demonstrated experience in project phases: FEED and/or detailed engineering;
  • Must have proven experience in (all or in parts);
  • Development of heat and material balances to generate Process and Utility Flow Diagrams;
  • Ability to use process simulation software such as ProII, Aspen, Hysys and/or Unisim would be an advantage (ie more than a complete novice);
  • Experience in Line and vessel sizing and specifying process equipment including pumps, vessels, columns, compressors, heat exchangers;
  • Experience with the development of P&IDs covering the conceptual design of process control schemes, sizing of piping via hydraulic design methods, and specifying design conditions of piping and equipment;
  • Some experience with relief systems design including identifying relief cases to enable sizing of relief valves, flare header hydraulic networks etc;
  • Appreciation of types of materials for selection of equipment, piping etc.

Optional Experience

  • Experience with pre-commissioning, commissioning and plant startup an advantage;
  • Plant operating experience relevant to KBR business areas would be useful;
  • Experience with Visio.
