Brunel have partnered with a leading International OEM to successfully recruit and place a suitably qualified Workshop Project Coordinator to support our Client’s Workshop team in Henderson in a permanent full-time position.

This position is accountable to plan, coordinate, estimate and schedule all activities required for equipment repair and refurbishment jobs to ensure that all work is carried out to company standards and specifications and delivery in full is met on time and within cost.

  • Develop repair scopes, estimates and quotations.
  • Liaise with customers, internal workshop or sub-contractors in regard to jobs arriving for repair, ongoing repairs and repairs scoping.
  • Advise on repair methods in consultation with workshop personnel and vendors.
  • Ensure all maintenance of workshop equipment, repairs/rebuilds are to correct standards, liaising with Procurement, Spare Parts, Services team, Engineering, Quality and product support as necessary.
  • Create, maintain and manage job cards for production in the workshop.
  • Preparing workshop invoicing.
  • Raise requisitions and expedite orders with suppliers as required.
  • Analyse and obtain all drawings and technical information required for repair work.
  • Obtain pricing and lead times for parts and coordinate sub contract works for required jobs.
  • Issue drawings to sub-contractor under document control system if required.
  • Responsibility for ensuring return of all drawings when jobs completed.
  • Inspection of all jobs prior to dispatch ensuring the company QA/QC procedures are adhered to.
  • Maintain job register (WIP) of all repair and refurbishment jobs within Australia
  • Weekly formal job progress updates both internal and to the client.
  • Monitor and expedite all repair jobs within the set time frames (DIFOT).
  • Participate in the preparation of specifications for purchase to ensure quality, quantity, delivery and service required for purchase of plant, equipment, supplies and materials are maintained to meet production schedules.
  • Financial management of jobs (planned costs versus actual).
  • Any other task as identified and instructed by the line manager



  • Mechanical Trade Certificate (Essential) or Engineering Degree (Desirable) and at least 5 years’ experience in similar role.
  • Experience in repair of mining components and heavy machinery.
  • Able to prepare quotations.
  • Planning and scheduling experience.
  • Project Coordination.
  • Mine-site processing maintenance experience. (Desirable)
  • Workshop coordination experience. (Desirable)
  • Sub vendor management experience. (Desirable)
  • High attention to detail and accurate data entry.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Team player.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite, MS Project and SAP.
  • Excellent customer response and customer service skills.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Good numerate skills.
  • Professional interactions with all parties
