About this role

Key operational responsibilities and accountabilities are as follows:

  • Perform project audits and report on quality related activities
  • Maintain and update the Quality Data System (QDS) with project information and audit results
  • Provide status reports and upload quality related records to project files
  • Support the Project/Program Manager to identify and progress value-adding and cost saving initiatives to ensure that the project meets its targets and goals
  • Assist PMs to develop Project Execution Plans/Engineering/Quality Plans for proposals and projects
  • Participate in operations and project meetings/reviews
  • Ensure design change control is being effectively managed
  • Participate and ensure HSE in Design activities are considered, documented and implemented as required
  • Ensure that project team members are inducted and have access to necessary documentation that enables them to effectively perform their work
    In consultation with the HSEQ Manager, develop and maintain project or program audit schedules and conduct audits in a timely manner
  • Support Project Engineering (Package Engineers) with identification of required standards and codes for procurement packages, including requirements for quality, vendor/contractor data, materials requisitions and inspection and test plans (ITPs)
  • Develop supplier quality requirements specifications for inclusion with tender/purchase order/material requisition documentation
  • Perform supplier evaluations, audits and process any findings raised, monitoring and tracking until closure
  • Support package engineers with the review of submitted vendor/contractor data: Inspection and Test Plans, WPS, WPQR, IQR, Test Procedures and Manufacturer’s Data Reports
  • Provide man-hour estimates for all project supplier quality surveillance activities, both home office and at supplier facilities
  • Support the Procurement Team with the planning and coordination of third party inspections, develop a Project Inspection Plan, raise non-conformance reports where necessary and facilitate resolution of any identified issues
  • Review credentials and select suitable third party inspectors based on the scope of the assignment
  • Work closely with any site based QC inspectors to ensure effective quality support during construction
  • Attend Pre Inspection meetings at suppliers facilities

About you

  • Bachelor Degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience (Electrical & Instrumentation)
  • Professional quality qualification
  • Previous Brownfields Oil and Gas industry experience of quality related procurement activities in an EP, EPCM environment including evaluation of suppliers, development and monitoring of surveillance programs, inspections and review of vendor data
  • Trained and experienced management system auditor
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Trained and experienced management system and technical auditor
  • Demonstrated understanding of ISO9001 intent and requirements
  • Demonstrated understanding of the development of design deliverables
  • Comprehension of Oil and Gas project management and delivery principles
  • Computer skills to effectively use the Microsoft Office suite and Skype for Business for communication
  • Ability to effectively work in a cross-functional team environment
